Während der Filmfestspiele der Berlinale gab die australische Botschafterin Lynette Wood einen Empfang für deutsche und internationale Gäste aus Regierung, Medien und Kunst. Sie sprach über die Bemühungen Australiens zur Wiederaufklärung der Buschfeuer und die Bedeutung der internationalen Unterstützung bei Besuchen und Geschäften mit von Bränden betroffenen Gemeinden. Graeme Mason, der CEO von Screen Australia, war ebenso anwesend wie viele andere hart arbeitende, talentierte Produktionsteams und Casts der auf der Berlinale vorgestellten Projekte.
