ANZAC DAY

At dawn of ANZAC Day Ambassador Natasha Smith alongside New Zealand Ambassador Craig Hawke, the embassies' staff and various VIPs, gathered at the Commonwealth War Cemetery in Berlin. 110 years ago, Australian and New Zealand soldiers formed part of the Allied expedition that set out to capture the Gallipoli peninsula. They became known as Anzacs. They are remembered, and all those who have served Australia in times of peace and war, for their courage, service, and sacrifice. To mark the occasion soprano Anna Smith gave a moving performance.
