WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?
The fee varies between € 80 and € 130 per hour which includes the transfers within Berlin, equipment, post-production and business costs. The price depends on the character of the event and the end use of the photographs. To receive a specific quote, please don’t hesitate to contact me via email or through the Message Form in the Contact section.
WHAT TYPE OF EVENTS DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH?
Pretty much any type of public or private event. Some of the past events I’ve covered include conferences, award ceremonies, official dinners, dance parties, concerts, theatre plays, birthdays and book launches among many more.
DO YOUR TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF BERLIN AND ABROAD?
Of course. I love to travel, meet new people and experience new places. To lessen my environmental impact I always prioritise trains and buses over planes and cars.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
I shoot with Canon cameras and use only prime lenses. Depending on specific needs, I also hire specialised equipment.
DO YOU HAVE A BACKUP CAMERA?
Yes.
WOULD WE HAVE TO MEET YOU IN PERSON BEFORE THE EVENT?
No, that is not necessary.
CAN YOU ORGANIZE A PHOTO BOOTH?
Of course, but due to practical reasons I only offer it when I work with at least a second shooter allowing one of us to photograph the event participants and the other to service the booth. We can create a booth from scratch or let You make Your own DIY photo booth. The second option is cheaper and would give You complete control over the final look of the background. In this case only the lighting would be set up by us.
HOW LONG DO WE NEED TO WAIT FOR PHOTOS?
The delivery time will be determined in advance on a case by case basis. How quick will depend on the form, size, length and significance of the event itself. I always try to deliver the images to You as soon as possible. Often I send out around 20 images within a couple of hours of the event to be used for social media.
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE?
It will depend on the type of event and the required post-production. From an hour long shoot You can expect to receive anywhere from 50 to 80 images.
HOW WILL WE RECEIVE THE PHOTOS?
You will be sent an email with links for download.
WHAT CHANGES DO YOU MAKE TO THE IMAGES?
I make adjustments to colour, contrast, saturation, crop, angle, keystone etc., but I do not use generative AI or in anyway distort reality. If You would like me to adjust the way I edited the photographs or have a specific preference (for example you would like the photographs to be black and white), it won’t be a problem.
WILL WE BE ABLE TO RECEIVE THE ORIGINAL RAW FILES?
Raw files are like raw ingredients that are used to create a wonderful meal and on their own do not give the full taste of the final dish. They are a base on which I form my images and once they serve their purpose they are like an element that has been blended into the mix and cannot be separated. So to keep up with my standards I will provide You with the final, tasty selection of photographs that will leave you satisfied and happy and keep the raw files in my digital pantry.
WILL WE HAVE A CONTRACT?
If you require one, yes. Otherwise this FAQ page, our email correspondence and my price offer will be used as a basis of our agreement.
COULD WE APPLY OUR OWN CHANGES TO THE IMAGES ONCE WE RECEIVE THE HIGH RESOLUTION PHOTOGRAPHS?
The images You receive will be the final version of the photos and are not intended to be altered apart from cropping. However You can always contact me with a request to make specific adjustments to the images after they have been delivered.
CAN WE SELL THE IMAGES TO THIRD PARTIES OR USE THEM FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES?
No, as default any third parties willing to purchase or use the photographs commercially will have to seek out permission from You, the portrayed subjects and I, and remunerate the interested parties accordingly.
WILL OUR PHOTOS BE PUBLISHED ONLINE?
For private events, no, unless given prior permission. In case of public events, I will be able to publish any photographs that are made public by the event organiser. And if I would like to present any unpublished photographs on my website or social media, I will seek permission from the organiser.
WHAT LANGUAGES DO YOU SPEAK?
I speak English, German, Polish and Czech, and I understand quite bit of French.
DO YOU PRACTICE OTHER TYPES OF PHOTOGRAPHY?
Yes, I also take portraits (Olga Blackbird) and photograph weddings (Shutter & Melody).
