HOUSE OF JAZZ

Since 2016, Berlin has been working on the creation of a unique anchor institution with international appeal, which would offer optimal conditions for production, presentation, research, networking, discourse and mediation. With this novel and clearly profiled institution, jazz, improvised music and their intersections with other forms of current creative music would be bundled together for the first time in a prominent place in Berlin. To further the discourse on this subject, the German Jazz Union has organised a special panel on curation processes and cultural institutions in the 21st century.
